anyone installed a attachment control kit in a toolcat 5600

that is sort of my thinking. I purchased a plow controller from Northern and as I said it has touch buttons for the four way controls. its just inconvenient to have to look down and let go of the joystick to move your chute while your moving. this controller has 6 wires, power, ground and 4 buttons so I will be giving it a try this weekend. going to put it on a plug in system so that I can unhook it for the summer.

one thing I had considered is to 3d print a housing for 2 of the momentary switches that would mount on the steering wheel, the switches could be such that I could use my thumbs to activate, its only 2 switches the auxiliary to activate the blower would still be on the joystick

then the left thumb works the chute up/down the right thumb works the chute rotation, thoughts on this concept, it would require a coil phone cord to allow the steering to be turned for steering, it would be nice to move the chute when in motion, allows one to dump the snow in a pile

I thought someone had said that the joystick on the new Toolcats have the chute controls on the stick making them very convenient to control. Does anyone know if that true or if I was just dreaming.

M'y 2011 and now my 2017 have all the control on the joystick.
It depend if you have bought the all-dress or Not.

that is very true, im working with a 2005 model. just my bad luck. it would be almost impossible to upgrade the joystick so im going with option B. wish it was an easy thing to do because it would have been done last year when I purchased the machine. but sometimes you have to work with what you have. I still enjoy blowing snow in a t-shirt. cant ***** too much. LOL

worked some on the design of a attachment to the steering wheel to house a couple monetary switches and hoping to 3d print the housing this week, basically it will add the control switches currently mounted in the console to the wheel allowing the operation for up/down and left/right rotation of the blower at my fingertips.

hoping to add a 12 pin connector on the console so it can be plugged in as needed but removed during the summer months when the blower is not attached

What Series Toolcat is it?

None of my machines steering wheels stay with the same spot at the top

series A, yes they do not center all the time but close and the switches are easily activated by thumb, not such a big deal if off half a turn simply unclip the housing and snap it back on in the right location,

count me in for the info also. would enjoy seeing how this flies!!!!!! I was in on the other discussion but no one ever got back as to fitment on an older C model. so this setup sounds great.
