Anyone put up a ARCH building before?

I almost wish we did have some zoning. /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif I said almost! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif The redneck neighbor built a dirt race track in the 30 acre field next to my land. Every Sat. night, vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom-vroom /w3tcompact/icons/mad.gif
Ya get the point! vroom! The idiot even calls it River Valley Speedway. It's a creek (Dorsey Creek) and we live on a mountain (Cannon Mountain) not a valley! Hicks!!!/w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

Cedarranch,

Ouch! Sorry that you have to live beside an idiot. But, that be one of perks in living a rural lifestyle. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Based upon some of the posts I've seen in the past several months, quite a few others have had to deal with similar country cousins.....

Maybe you should invite some Civil War/WW II reinactors to stage a reinactment on your property on Sunday mornings. A good place would be not to far from his house. I live near the Antietam Battlefield and they stage a very large reinactment every 5 years. This year is one of those years. Have you ever heard a cannon volley go off at 6 am on a Sunday morning, followed by two large armies firing off their muskets. Sits ya straight up in bed!! Even five or six miles away!! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

I put up a 72'x36' arch 25' tall. my arch is 16ga and 180 panels. It is a great building and I prefer it to pole barns. (I also have a pole barn) The most important advice in my owners manual is to leave all bolts loose until all sections are assembled. I assembled my arch panel by panel not tilting up completed arch sections. I stick built the end walls.

Terry,
My costs would be about the same as Cedar Ranch. Comparable to that three years ago I put up a 45x63x12 pole building with five windows, service door, 1 12' slider and one 10' slider. I only had $7200 in materials

Zoning won't help you either Cedar Ranch. We have all the zoning in the world and I couldn't do anything about the neighbor putting in a dirt track for dirt bikes. Try listening to 10 screaming 2 strokes! Not to mention he's ran the horses through the fence twice from it and still nothing I can do about it.
