Just as the title states...... has anyone used a 16" bucket on a BX24 backhoe? Im considering one but it has to be built. I know on hard clay it wont do very well but Ive ran into a few times where the ol 12" bucket just isnt enough and a small hole turns into a small hole that takes forever to dig!!

Thanks gang!

There was fellow that used to post here that had a custom made 24" bucket made up for his BX22 or BX23. It wasn't used so much for digging as it was for scooping up already loosened dirt/gravel etc and it worked good for that.
Seems he sold it to another poster here when he upgraded to a large machine.

I know that I can stall out my 12" bucket in my hard pack clay if I take too big of a bite so I'd guess a 16" would stall out sooner. Course once you get through the tough crust it may work out fine, hard to say.
Let us know :D
