I hear you JeepHead. I can't tell you how many times I fell back on my backside. Pulling on my peevee- to get the log to roll over.

In the beginning I thought - bigger the tree, faster the firewood. I soon learned that was not exactly true. Initially some of the trees I fell - 36 to 38 inches on the butt cut.

It's amazing how big those trees get. Then you go see the giant redwoods and it makes our trees look like saplings.

12 years ago we went through a park in far north CA. 4 kids (16, 14, 11 & 9) holding hands only got about half way around a tree...and it wasn't the biggest tree we saw.

As a kid we drove through trees that effectively spanned the road and formed a tunnel.
