... I basically gave Hank the tractor and front yoke from the plow. Hank has been building ProStock drag cars for 15yrs and can pretty much bend/weld anything. I went off and had a hernia repair and this is what I saw this morning.. I like the beef.

I have talked to a few people about 'plowing snow' and the general conclusion seems to be that it is a wonderful way to turn a new Pickup into an old PU. I know I will never reach the speeds of a PU, but Hank seemed to agree that we are better off really transferring all the shock to the plow vs. the tractor. The only drawback is that I will probably have to pick a day when the FEL comes off for the next 60..

Next come the mounting...

Giz .. I don't Caber toss at Scottish games, but funny you mention: I just got my guts re-packed on Thursday.

Try this on: "No driving for 6 weeks." Bull__t .. I was back to work on Friday, Sat and drove myself in today. I had another hernia repair on the other side about 40yrs ago and the way they do this now is a helluva lot better. I put it off all Summer so I could kitesurf, but didn't think too much ahead; Winter is a time of general grunting. Jeeez?!

The blade will cause me to think ahead... Levers, come-alongs, engine lifts .. there's got to be a way a cripple can mount it. (my wife is about 105lbs .. and a tick frail) The frame should be easy by comparison.

Morris: That's nice-n-clean engineering. I wonder if there is any theory about how far the blade should be from the center of effort/propulsion? I guess the blade's fail-safe eliminates the concern...

Yeah I read that in your post, thought I would mention the need for help. But once it is on for the winter you should be good to go. Cannot wait to see it all done.

Hi Guys-just discovered this website today. My two cents. I had an old Meyers that I had made a fixed angled plow for use on my 755. It had clips on the bottom that slid over the cutting edge, then I had two threaded rods that went through nuts that were welded to the clips and lodged into holes in plates that were welded to the bucket. Those clips then had tubular stock that went verticle and I think the picture is self explanatory. The plow was pivoted on the bottom and I had a single Meyers springcentered on the blade and attached to the top of ich change the bucket. Not ideal but it worked.

Second set of pics shows my new 3320/300cx loader. e two top clips and th Deere wanted 800 bucks for the u niversal plate. I paid under fifty for the top "c" clips and the two "bullets on the bottom-plus a few bucks for the steel. It works very well. Does it push the same as a frame mounted factory set up? probably not but on the plus side I can stack heavy snow 7' high with this set up.

R-H: Both look great. I love the simplicity of the first. If I had not had two major storms last year, I think I would have copied your first idea. I flogged the **** out of my Furgeson last winter.

Red Horse - Welcome to TBN!

Nice looking 755. I take it you traded that for the 3320. Not an uncomon trade-up route.

Wetstuff- thx- it worked well-only downside is you are carrying the dead weight of the bucket. But it was simple and not difficult to "bull" on and off.

JD 755-Thx-I took that picture just before I loaded it on the trailer to deliver to my niece-that is why it had the deck and the plow on it. I bought it with 70 hrs on it in '90 and I think it had just a little over 700 when I sold it. The 55 series were in my book like money in the bank. Reasonable care and they held their value.

The 3320 is a great machine too. It always amazes me just what it can do. Its a hydro and my only complaint is I would like to see Deere engineer a trans disconnect switch (with a foot throttle) so you could speed up the hydraulics for loader operation. The loader is very capable but the hydraulics are just too slow-that is the only reason I would ever consider a power reverser.

Great Web site by the way- glad I discovered it.
