Attachment points for transport chain on Kioti tractor

I bought my Cambell chain at Lowes for $30 per 20' lenght. It came with a hook on each end and i had them cut them in half.

I ordered extra hooks of Amazon for $5 each giving me 4 10' chains for $70

Same thing as Diamondpilot said on getting chains and cutting in half except I got a mix of slip hooks and grab hooks.

On my tractor I usually tie down to the rear towbar/ backhoe bracket it is very rugged and already scratched up. on the front I use the cross tube on the loader mine is open on both ends and the chain works great in it. for the Chains I ordered from amazon 2- 20ft lengths with hooks on both ends and 2 ratcheting binders all 3/8 but it is overkill even with 6000lbs of Tractor loader Backhoe.

Check with Jordan Sales in Post Falls they are your local Kioti dealer and should be able to help you identify tie down points. If I remember correctly they sell tractor/trailer combos and have to secure the tractor to the trailer.

Hope these pics answer some questions. I had a 5 hr drive so i wanted to have it secure. Some people say that the highway patrol can look at your chains and tell by the color ( gold ) if they are the right ones for your load. I used 5/16 grade 70 chain and 5/16 Peerless Quikbinders.

Hi Guys,

I had another thread about what kind of trailer to get for my Kioti CK2610. I got the trailer- a Big Tex 18' 14,000 axles. So I just ordered 5 of the Red Devil 3/8-1/2" 9,200 pound ratcheting load binders and now I'm trying to figure out what lengths of 3/8th" grade 70 chain to get.

In order to figure out the ideal length for my chain I need to know where I'm going to hook the chains onto the tractor. My attachment points on the trailer will be at the stake pockets. I'll be using 5 chains- one in each corner and on for the FEL bucket.

Looking at the tractor there does not seem to be any dedicated hook up points (or maybe i'm missing something?). I checked the owners manual and didn't see any mention of it either.

So how do you guys tie your Kioti's down to your trailer?

Thanks

Your chain is overkill. The 3/8" straps will also work on 5/16" chain which is a lot easier to mess around with because it is lighter.

Anyway, you need two 10' lengths of chain to wrap around either the axle or, if you install a loop on your drawbar, then through the drawbar loop to each side of the trailer.

You also need one 20' chain for single hook under the tractor that will loop to each side as well as over the loop.

You will also need a chain or a ratchet strap for your loader.

I use 3/8" chains on the rear and 5/16" chain on the front, and a 3/8" chain to leash down the loader because that is what I have, but you could use 5/16" grade 70 chain all the way around. Look at the photos below of my tractor and you'll see what I mean by having a loop on your tow bar.

I like my Peerless Quickbinder Plus binders, cost the same as the better quality regular binders and don't have a handle sticking out.

I usually tie down a similar weight tractor toy your Kioti with 2in straps, heavier equipment like my skid steer and little dozer get chains. 5/16 g70 chain is plenty for your application as stated.

If you take your excess chain and wrap it around the handle for the binder, you should be good to go legal.

If no excess chain then wire the handle closed.

A small scrap of stall mat under the bucket would prevent rubbing/gouging/vibrating on the top of your diamondplate toolbox
