I need to rent one of those to get that excess dirt out of the crawl space. That and a tiller to loosen it up and I'm in business. I can lower either one or both of them down inside with the Telehandler.
Thanks!

Mr. Fuller Lift your little Kubota over the wall and then dump out the dirt and level the gravel as you put in by the telehandler it will lift maybe 2500 lbs.
Of course may be able to sell tickets to the show of doing so.

Isn't it about time for the cold wind and snow to be getting there.
The wall does look good maybe a new door way to be put in. Kubota wide.

Last weekend I finished the waterproofing and the backfill over the foundation drain. So far this weekend I have a layer of rolled shingle, a layer of aluminum flashing, another layer of shingle, and then I just started the sill plate. I'll keep at it as long as the weather holds out.

If you are concerned about frost penetration from the inside of the foundation, and can't get it back filled this fall, you could spread bales of straw around the inside foundation wall.

When you don't have a helper, it's nice to have toys that help get the job done. Sliding a 16 ft 2x8 over 6 pieces of rebar can be a real balancing act.

Then I used the tractor to hold the sill plate in position while I marked it for drilling holes. I have 3 sides finished now and will do the last side tomorrow unless it rains.

Looks good, do you already have your logs?

What are your winters like, do you get any snow or freezing temps.

Oh yeah. I have my logs already. I got them 18 months ago, not knowing that it was going to take 18 months to get my stupid permit.
It snows here but not that much. Usually a few inches, a few times during the winter, that only lasts for a few days. But several of the locals say we are way overdue for a 4 footer. Who knows. It will get down into the teens at night in Dec, Jan, and Feb with daytime of about 50. So in theory, I could add a log or two during some weekends throughout the winter, if it isn't too muddy.

Good Morning Mr. Fuller. Back a few years ago maybe 50 working East of Seligman it snowed so could not see vehicles parked for 10 to 15 days until it melted enough to cause a bump in the snow to locate . Then had a large loader come in and clear a trail to get road to high way before interstate.
I would drive my Chev. 3/4 ton pickup 4x4 with snow drifts coming over the hood have to stop and broom off to continue driving SLOW in the snow.
Didn't want to hit a cowboy on his horse. Some of your ranch neighbors will remember they lost cattle in the freezing weather.

Pictures of logs look good have to be lighter to put up by this time.

After a 3 week delay I finally got the sill plate on the last side. Now I'm doing the center wall so I can build my pony wall. I probably won't get much more done until Spring. Time to winterize the trailer for a few months.

It's February and it's 73 degrees at the Ranch. Oh well, I'm loving it. I borrowed a compactor from a neighbor to compact the soil in the bottom of my basement/crawl space. I used the telehandler to lower it down into the basement. The picture is on my phone, so I'll have to load it from the phone later.
