Gotta wonder after reading this thread, how many of us ran out and checked out the lug nuts. I know I did, mine were all tight as an Alabama tick, and that is after 90 hours, but it is good to know for sure.

I hope you are not getting a loan. Kubota will report it to your state.

P.S. I was begging them to borrow a wheel of your tractor :)

HAHAHAHAHAH

This is the funniest thread I've ever read. You guys are insane.

there are definitely some people here who have no business owning machinery.

If you have to ask what I'm talking about, see prior line.

Jeez...

Well after a whole month they finally got the wheel.

I asked the guy to put lugs/studs with wheel and something indicating that it's covered by warranty. I said I'll be in Friday or Saturday to pick it up.

He said I'll be here on both Friday and Saturday.

Was he there? no of course not, not either day.

Did they know where anything was, no.

They they did find the wheel.

And then they kind of randomly looked on the desk for studs/lugs and they were wrong (no taper on lugs).

After looking them up they only had 5 lugs. So they borrowed one off a tractor.

I was curious which direction studs went and looked at one with R4 Tires (rear) and they put all the Lug nuts on tapered side out with lock washer. I think R4's in the rear should also have tapered side of lug nut towards rim? The hub does not center the wheel just like the turfs I have.

Then I ask about it and he said that's the way Kubota Shipped that one.

Any way studs went in almost all by hand all the way.

Except one stud would bind 2 threads in or so. From either side.

So I got a tap (14mm x 1.5 FYI) and the tap "caught" about one turn in. Ugh, am I on the thread or not. Bingo I hit the old thread perfect and then the stud went in nice.

I used Blue Locktite on the studs. Nothing on Lugs.

Dealer does use locktight on studs and not on lugs.

I did notice there is a seperate note in the manual to "check lugs often, especially when new". (in the 50 hour maintenaince section). I had only looked at the chart.
