Looking at new B2410 with 60" midmount mower. Any idea what a "good" price would be? I live in Canada and there does appear to be somewhat of a discrepancy when I convert posted prices in USD to Canadian dollars. Any Canadians lurking out there with Canadian prices? Any idea what to expect for finance rates?
Dealer quoted 8.25%.

Thanks

Good news, my fellow B2410 shopper to the North. Kubota just posted their new "special" finance rates on their web site - 6.75% (for up to 60 months I believe).

As for prices, I've now gotten two quotes and I'm still sorting through them. It's probably best if you can get some information from people who have bought in your area - seems to be wide variations depending on area of the country (or just the country I guess).

Thanks for the info Rob. I checked the Kubota Canada web page today and they don't even have a section on financing. In case anyone from Kubotoa Canada is listening...your web page is pathetic! It doesn't contain 1/4 of the information on the U.S. web site. Thank goodness for the U.S. Kubota web page and web sites like this one.

One of the dealers I talked to recently suggested he thought better financing was coming while another thought it might be March. Time to make a couple of calls.

Thanks again for the tip.

Hi there, not sure if you are still looking for a comparative price for a B2410...but here in Alberta they are quoting me approx $23,400 with a LA352 FEL, a 60" mid-mount mower, and Bi-Speed turning - PLUS GST of course!!! That is the cash price delivered. I would love to know what they are telling you in your neck of the woods. Seems unfair when you hear the quotes from the States, but got to keep remembering that their prices are in USD.

Let me know what your quotes are. Thanks.

Kevin,

Two local dealers have given me quotes on B2410, block heater, turf tires, bi-speed turn and 60" midmount mower. The first was $19,000 + HST (15%) and the second $18,600 + HST. One dealer quoted $4,200 for FEL installed (again plus the "harmonized sales tax" of 15%). Though one of my quoted prices may be very slightly lower than yours, you will come out ahead because of the higher tax rate here on the east coast.

Have you inquired about lease or finance rates?

Let me know how you do closing the deal.

Lyle,

Never done this kind of dealing before...so I'm learning as I go. Are you going to ask them to "throw in" anything? I'm thinking about getting to an "acceptable" price then having them throw in a rear work light and probably chains at least. Have you thought about doing that? Anyone else done that??? In a way I guess it is a little like buying a car, yet quite a bit different.

I will certainly keep you posted on my progress. FYI I'm also looking at a Massey 1225, JD 4200, and NH TC25D. Would say the JD is out as the dealers around here seem very pricey. Interesting to see how they all handle their quotes and price listings.

Kevin,

I too looked at TC 25 and JD4200. Very happy with contact at both dealerships and both very nice machines but prices $3000-4000 more money. JD did have better financing rates 6% versus 8.25% at Kubota.

I tried contacting Kubota Canada to get some indication if there was room to maneuver on finance rate. Unfortunately there seemed to be no one of any authority I could talk to. Spent 15-20 minutes of long distance time (my dime) getting shuffled between several people saying "Don't know what to tell you". I had the impression that they are not used to dealing with many "customer" calls, mostly dealer inquiries.Though the local Kubota dealers couldn't promise better rates I certainly felt comfortable with their approach (and one of the reasons why I'm still leaning toward 2410).

I haven't tried asking Kubota dealers for any extra throw-ins. The dealer with the lower quote made it sound like he was giving away his first born. I don't know what the dealer mark-up is in Canada but he left me feeling that I wasn't likely even to get a complimentary Kubota cap. I suppose there is no harm in trying... all he can say is no.

Let me know if you have any success with any little extras.
