Tires B2410 Which tires for my use?

I hope this is not too late.

Have you considered the bar-turf tires? They are wider than turfs, yet have bar treads on them for additional traction. I would expect them to have better traction than R-4s, yet not as much as R-1s. The downside is that they are of slightly smaller diameter and thus you lose a little ground clearance on your 3pt attachments and mid-mower ( if applicable).

I have them on my 7500, which I use to cut 2 acres of finished lawn and the tires aren't a problem with regard to scuffing.

I opted for the R-4's over the turf and the bar turfs. The additional price was $150.00. I was also considering bar turf as a comprimise between the R4's and the turfs. Carvers said that with the loader I would probably be happiest with the R4's and that if I wasn't, there would be no problem swapping them out. I am very happy with them./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I ordered my B2410 last week. The original quote included R4's. I wanted R1s. The quote was reduced by $50.00 becuase of this change. I wanted R1s because I have no lawn. I live in the mountains so I need the traction because of the slope and snow. The soil around here is crushed granite.
