i agree with "bubbajr" in his earlier reply, this machine is (as far as i am concerned) indestructible!!!!
i have been preparing about 6 acres for my house construction on weekends for two years. i put about 275 hours on my 2910 and like "bubbajr" i pushed it way past the intended limits of this machine. i stood it straight up on it's rearend, straight up on it's front bucket and almost rolled it once.
with the front loader i lifted/pushed/wrestled huge stumps easily weighing 2500# up onto my trailer to haul away (if you hold the lift lever in the lift position and toggle between forward and reverse with your foot, the tractor will actually lift that much weight, as long as you attach the box scrapper and load it down with lots extra weigh).
i traded the machine for a new larger one this year, it looked just about like new after the two years of ^@$^*# i put it thru.
i had only two problems with it while using the belly mower, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS watch the temperature indicator!!! a little grass blows out the front of the mower deck and is sucked into the screen protecting the radiator this will with out a doubt!!!!!!!!clog the air flow and you will have to stop and clean it out about once every hour or so of mowing time (mine severely overheated one time). if anyone tells you different they have not used one!
needless to say my new tractor has a rear finish mower deck.
the other deck problem was leaking fluid from the drive on the deck, just a one time thing.
mine may have lasted me for a long time but i knew what it had been put thru. so consider the previous owner, how it may have been used/overused and maybe you will want to try to work a really good deal on a new one, besides when i traded mine in i lost in real money only about $3000 from what i paid. easily the best $3000 i have spent.
also the new tractors will slow to an idle and even shut down before they overheat and cause damage.
good luck
