Greetings everyone from a newbie in New Hampshire. I'm looking at taking the plunge and buying a tractor, and like almost everyone else buying their first, I need some advice. I have been offered a 2009 B3030 cab with LA403 FEL with hyd brush grapple, Woods BH70X backhoe, B2782A 63" front snowblower, and R4 tires with rear chains. The tractor has 92 hours. The seller is asking $32,500. Is this a fair price? I have included some pics. Thank you.

I would research the pro's and con's of a 3 point mounted backhoe and compare the results against your intended backhoe uses.

As far as the price, well, I can only tell you that I paid $27,300 (which included 6% sales tax) for a new B3030 without the cab but with the Kubota backhoe, loader, two rear remotes, pallet forks, bush hog, rear blade, and box blade last summer.

I believe the cab, if it includes air and heat added about 5K retail. The grapple with additional remote is likely around 3K retail. I don't know what the snow blower goes for.

The B3030 is a nice tractor and that is a sweet package you are looking at. Good luck.

I'm in a completely different market and even though our dollar keeps flopping a little above or below par with you, our prices always seem a little higher. That said, it would be a good deal around these parts.

I have a Woods BH-70x on my Kioti CK30. It is not a 3pt backhoe, it has a very similar 4 pt mount as the Kubota BH. It's very strong and will probably pull the B3030 around a little (it will move mine a little and I've got more weight and loaded tires). The BH probably adds $7-9K new, a front mount snow blower would be in the $6K range new, the cab probably adds $7-8K new and that grapple bucket (with 3rd function hydraulics installed) probably adds $2-3K new. I seem to remember the tractor itself being in the $18K range with loader, at least a year ago when I went shopping.

92 hrs is is nothing for a tractor, that's barely long enough to warm it up! The easiest way to figure it out is to go to a Kubota dealer and price a B3030 with all the options you want (a grapple bucket doesn't have much value if you don't want/need one for instance), and see how it compares. If you're spending that much money and don't want all the toys that this one comes with, there are plenty of great tractors that are in your price range for you to look at, both new and used, otherwise this may be the deal for you.

That is not a 3 point mount backhoe just so you know.

Now that I look at the picture several hours later in the day and after coffee, your right, my bad!

Sorry about that.

You should be able to buy that package brand new for about $35,000. $32.5k is too much for a used machine IMHO.

I'd say that's a very fair price! Go get it!

I'd walk from that deal. I think its way to much money for a 30 HP light weight tractor. The grapple is worth 500 bucks at best (so what), the snow blower has some value if you will use it. A 7 foot hoe certainly has it limitations. Throw the attachments out the window, the tractor and hoe are work 23K max with the cab. That's my opinion.

factor in the fact that the cab adds $6-$7K to the price, that puts the tractor close to $30K alone.

Won't tell you what ours cost, you may puke.

I disagree with 6-7 K on the used cab. That machine isn't worth 25K used with a cab and hoe. It's a lightweight machine at best. The used machine prices are way over inflated.

92 hours is barely used. I tell you what, ask your local dealers what trading in at that low of hours will cost you... Very little.

Traded in our 200 hour platform for a bigger new one, got $1k less than we paid for it. Cabs hold there value...a

I have been pricing backhoes for my Kubota B3030 with a cab and I am finding prices installed for a backhoe of between 9 and 10 grand that's what's holding me up!

Bottom line: Its a good deal, if it's the right equipment combination for the buyer. I bought a used Woods 7.5' Hoe in the a rain/snowstorm in January for $3,500 bucks from a dealer. Cost me $600 for the install. Tractor season is slipping by and there will be some nice deals to be had if you look around and keep an open mind on brand choice.

I paid $28000. for a new B3030 hst cab, 403 fel and front snowblower in oct 2008. Deal included stereo, hydraulic chute rotation, rim guard and turf tires. In my humble opinion that deal is ok for a factory cab machine. If you really want it offer 5 grand less, these are tough times! As for the machine itself, the 3030 is a very nice tractor. The only reason i sold mine is that i outgrew it!

That would be an outstanding deal up here. I have an idea since I have most of the equipment listed.

That says it all right there. There are several buying criteria with price only being one of them. Someone could pay $35K for this machine and not be bothered at all because they have what they want. Someone else , somewhere else may think that 25K is a rip off. All the criteria needs to fit together as there are some things that outweigh price as far fetched as that may sound.

$24,800 (plus tax) for a 2009 B3030 HSDCC with LA 403 in Feb. 2009 in northern NY state.
It sat on the lot with a front mount blower but I had them take it off and replace with loader because I already had a 60 inch rear mount blower from a previous tractor. The extra $$ wasn't worth it for me when I do only my own driveway.
As for all the attachments, only the OP can say if he needs/wants them all. Maybe do a mix & match or not take all the attachments if you don't really need them. I've had occasion to use a backhoe a few times since I've owned tractors, but it's far more cost effective to rent or hire someone for those times. A backhoe would be just another seldom used piece of equipment to store and maintain for me. It's bad enough that I have a little used post hole auger sitting around. But at least that didn't cost me several thousand dollars. :D
