I sure have missed seeing it. Have a JD tractor with cab the dome light is like a auto's. You can set it to come on with door or stay on or off. Only find manual off or on. The JD also has illumination lighting for controls also. Seems for the price of the "GRAND" cab it would have such lighting.

On the Grand it’s only on or off with the switch on the light. No door switches. And I agree about the lack of switch illumination.

Id be frustrated with that as well. You spend so much money on these machines, youd think something very simple like that would be automatic. I cant have a cabbed tractor for my uses here so i havent spent any time researching them but i did watch a Messicks video about the differences in cabs between the MX6000 and the Grand L... Its crazy some of the things they skip.. Like not being able to open the door from the outside on the right side on the MX cab... Very basic, simple things that you scratch your head.. Or they have 2 different door handles on the inside of the cab.

Im still a little perplexed with my order currently as well. I had originally signed the purchase agreement to buy an MX6000 that they had on hand like I told you before, then talked to several people and ended up ordering the L6060. Its now been on order for 10-12 days (don’t know if the the dealer ordered immediately after i signed the purchase order or not) but they still cant give me any kind of idea on the shipping/delivery information. Seems mind blowing to me that they cant get accurate information for a $45K machine being transported other than “the end of the month”

dbchaplin03, not sure when they did but Kubota's closed their plant in Georgia for believe it was at least two weeks and also their Land pride plant (not sure the state they are in) to treat them for the Covid virus. Do a search here for there is a thread on it. At same time the one I bought from and another I also talked with each said the demand is heavy.

I got a call from the outfit that picks up returnable Kubota shipping crates a couple days ago. They had been shut down due to the Georgia assembly plant closure but are back up and running as of this week.

L6060 owners, can one of you help me out.. I looked at an L6060 last fall but ordered my new one without having seen one in about 7 months. The brochure says it has a Cat 1/2 3 pt. Can one of you tell me what size the pin is that connects the top link to the tractor? Is it Cat 1 or Cat 2? Not the end that connects to the implement, but the tractor side of the top link..

The top link is Cat 1, 3/4” Pin. The bracket on the tractor has larger holes on the RH side, thus the stepped pin.
But for your hydraulic top link, the eye needs to accept a .750 pin.

Popgadget,

Thank you very much!! Really appreciate that help. I looked at some weld on ones today by Speco but they didn’t seem very heavy duty so I may order a threaded one from Agrisupply or somewhere and cut it off to use.

That one threaded end from Kubota is $103 for some reason. About $6.99 from everywhere else lol.

The Kubota 4-in-1 bucket that I bought with my L6060 is considerably heavier than a regular bucket but no where near 620 Lbs. Indeed, the entire 1055 FEL (sans bucket) weighs 640 Lbs. The 72" light material bucket weighs 136 Lbs., and the 72" HD bucket weighs 180 Lbs.

No specs in the operating and installation manual for my Kubota 4-in-1 bucket but I'm guessing that it weighs around 300 Lbs.

I was thinking that your weights seemed low, and after looking in my LA1055 manual, I see why. The numbers that you listed are weights in kg. The weight in pounds would be 2.2 times that.
But you are right about the skid steer bucket being heavier, the 72” light material bucket is listed at 300 lbs (136kg). That’s 89 lbs less than mine.

Indeed, you are correct, and I stand (sit) corrected.

I took another look at my 4-in-1 bucket and it still does not "look" like it weight over 600 Lbs. but it certainly eats into the payload of my L6060 FEL, and I would not buy it again.

You may be surprised at your ability to resell it and get your money back. There are a lot of people out there who only buy used things and wouldn’t bother calling the dealer for a quote. Wouldn’t hurt to throw it out there for sale and just see if you got any takers. Just a thought anyhow.
