I have driven 3 (new) B3030’s now. One was a cab and the others open. All three had a very annoying thrum in the floor boards. The last one was like a vibro-massage that had my feet tingling after a 3 minute trip around the lot with the tach at 2,000 RPMs.

My 3 cyl B7610 was smooth as silk at anything above idle. Is this just the nature of the 4 banger? Does it get better with time and break in?

Thanks,

Nick

I don't know Nick, every B3030, and B7800 I've test driven has exhibited this trait, some more than others. The firing order of a four cylinder has two up, and two down, and I think that is the nature of that beast. I like the B2630 better for just that reason, but you are looking to run larger implements than I am. Rumor has it that a larger 3 cylinder may be coming in the B series, and I think that would be welcome.......... but why always next year!!!

How reliable is that rumor? I might just consider going without for a while in exchange for a smooth B3030.

There was just a comment, or two on here a while ago refering to the "new B7800", and a three cylinder with more HP was mentioned. I'm afraid we won't really know anything until after the October dealer's meetings. I sold my BX too, and am in limbo. I would like to wait to see what the new B's will bring, but the JD's are tempting in the meantime. Thirty HP is really what the larger B's need to run the size implements that the width suggests, so it would be nice to see smoother engines........ though thousands have been very happy with things as they are. I think the L's, and grand L's are three cylinder, and the ones I drove were smoother, but they are bigger for sure.

Yeah. I have fallen head over heals for a 3320. But I just can't easily let go of that sweeet Kubota quality. I do not think the JD's have it. If the B3030 was as smooth as my B7610, I would already have one. As it stands, I just can't see long term tractor happiness with numb feet. And I don't want a tractor with a mere 1.5 PTO HP more than my last one.

Its not much of a secret anymore, so I'll confirm it for you. There will be a replacment to the B7800 this year. The dealer meeting is at the end of Sept. We will see it then.

Thanks for the info. Any more details?

Perfect. Value appreciation for the B7800.

I guess I must be one of those. I honestly never noticed any vibration until I read this thread and others like it, so today I decided to actually look for some to see if I could notice. And yes, it does vibrate a little but I supposed I've come to expect some vibration from every _ahem_ *Diesel* (at least every one I've ever owned or been in/on).

It's a frickin' tractor, not a Bimmer/Lexus/Audi/Infiniti/Benz/etc. In case noone noticed, it doesn't even have any suspension other than right under your rump maybe a coupla springs and some foam. Supposedly, at one time, tractors were actually used as agricultural and construction equipment! Now if I never noticed any vibration before, it must not be all that bad.... other than when sitting perfectly still on the tractor doing absolutely nothing, I'm not sure how you could even notice.

Sorry nothing personal against anyone, but this kind of "complaint" I find pretty irritating... next it'll be that there's too much glare on the instrument cluster. I guess I'm just old school when it comes to tractors and Diesels and don't need alot of pampering... I'll gladly take the extra power and torque, vibration and all, thank you very much.

I only have a few thousand hours on small agricultural tractors, and probably not more than a thousand, or so riding in the steel seats of converted horse drawn equipment, so I should have qualified my statement for lack of experience. I drove a B7800 yesterday that was pretty smooth, but I stand by the fact that some will put both your hands, and feet to sleep in short order......... well yuppie hands, and feet like mine I guess. :D

Good point. But at $20K+ a little refinement may not be an unreasonable expectation. Especially when the other makes (and other Kubotas) don't numb your extremities.

Maybe some are worse than others, hard to say... I was telling Chuck, I've been on mine hours at a time and the only thing that ever goes numb is my butt :) Hopefully the new seat will help with that some. Especially when I'm mowing (which is usually as fast as my kidneys can stand), engine vibration is the last force acting upon my body that I'd ever notice... I don't know that my left foot even stays on the floorboard all that much. My steering wheel doesn't vibrate at all. I think there used to be some issue with that (I forget which models exactly) that was subsequently addressed.

My 3030 vibrates more than my 7610 did. That being said, I would go back...

I love my B3030.

It was the B3030 that had the steering wheel vibration...I wasn't in the market for the B3030 two years ago, I just wanted to test drive it and the steering wheel on that one vibrated:)

I need the FEL lift height of the L2800 I bought.

My B3030 vibrates too - seems to have some specific RPM settings where it is worse (resonate frequency). The engine on my TC18 was smoother, but the tranny on the B3030 is "smoother" (less noisy). Would I go back - never.

A tip for other owners, when you take the loader off, leave the pins with the loader - they rattle something fierce if you leave them on the tractor...

Is the 4 cyl more shaky than the three?? I just got a quote for a 3030 which was only 1000 more than the 2630. It seemed to make no sense to me until I read this thread. And if anyone had the old 2710 and 2910 could you comment if they also vibrated?? In trying out tractors I dont remember them being any more vibration thank my 2410.

Any more B3030 owners who can give us feed back? Is this vibration here to stay or has/can it be fixed?

I haven't had my 3030 that long, only 5 hours on the clock. I really don't notice any vibrations that would would cause any numbness of the extremities. My only complaint is sliding forward in the seat. Not unusual, I still have the old seat. Waiting for the new one...on order.

I have to agreee with Hazmat.....leave the loader pins with the loader! They will rattle like crazy......so do the extendable links on the 3pt!
