B7200 ?\'s

My 1985? B7200 diesel 4wd gear drive grinds whenever I put it in gear. I have attempted to adjust the clutch but that does not seem to help. I don't think I need a new clutch but do not know. Anyone have any ideas?
I also understand there is a way to increase the h.p. on this 3 cylinder deisel. Anyone know about this?
One more question then I will quit. The cable that runs the hour meter on this tractor does not last much longer than a few hours, then it will quit. I have been told that this is common on this tractor and cannot be
fixed? Doesn't sound right to me. Thanks for any help.
