B7610HSD snowplow retrofit

One more thing. To determine which valve your LA352 has, there is usually a serial number tag on the loader control valve. It also contains the model number of the valve. The 3-way valve will be a B2006 while the 4-way will be a B2007. You need the B2007.

Thanks for the link to Kubmech's post. That seems to clear things up. It also makes me believe that dholly has the 3way valve. So, if I'm understanding everything correctly, the reason that all 4 directions "worked" with the original hose configuration was because the regen circuit was hooked to the dual action "lift-lower" cylinder and when the hoses were swapped to make the stick direction correspond to blade movement, the regen circuit was now hooked to single action cylinders? It sounds like if dholly can live with the stick movement being 90 degrees out of phase with the actual blade movement, a new valve isn't really necessary...... (If I'm understanding everything correctly)

Duber

I still don't believe he will be able to angle his plow without changing out his valve. Ouch!
However, there may be a work around. What if he ran lines from his rear remotes (assuming he has them) to angle the blade. Not nearly as neat, but it might work.

Or perhaps he could change out his two cylinders for one double acting instead.

Running to the rear remote is exactly how I did mine. used 1/4 hose and it works super good. If the weather report is correct I may get to ues it in a day or 2.

Mad - thanks for the link, that's a very helpful post by kubmech. I do remember reading that thread (and others) and realizing I would need a 4-way valve to do what I wanted.

Now forgive me if you'all know this already, but here's where it got kinda interesting to me...

As I mentioned, the dealer confirmed my 352 loader did indeed come with a 4-way valve (don't have build date handy but I bot new in crate and took delivery in Feb or March '05 with dealer installed FEL), which is why I was perplexed.

When I asked if they had a model or part number for the valve my B7610 came with on file, and shared the ones I had, they said:

1.) that there were actually (3) different versions of that particular 352 loader from oldest to newest... LA352, LA352-FL, and LA352-FL1

2.) I had the lastest version LA352-FL1 (good! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif)

3.) the price book says "B2007 not for use with LA352-FL1" (bad! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif)

Since they could find no other reference or description to the part #'s, I went out and looked for an outwardly obvious B2006 or B2007 marking. I could find neither, so I took the shroud off the valve to look under. Nothing! Errgh, back to the part numbers in the thread, pdf parts file at the office...

Well did I feel like a real dummy, but it was staring me in the face all along... clear as day even with the shroud on as the pic shows. Guess I was so fixated on finding B2006 or B2007, the YW number just didn't click.

I say it gets interesting because I have neither the B2006 or B2007 valve, but it sure as day is a 4-way valve.

Actually, it is:

- Model #B2009-1
- Part #YW241-00100

While the #'s differ, it most closely resembles the pic of the 3rd part # I mentioned previously, called "assembly valve control".

Attached is exploded pic and parts list with B2009-1 valve.

duber - I spoke to a tech who was purportedly the hyd wiz at my dealer and went thru my scenario. He also suggested swapping out the single action side cylinder hoses to the double action lift cylinder valve ports as a test and, indeed, the blade angled both left and right just fine. Now, he was perplexed as well and we began wondering what else could be wrong.

When speaking of the regen circuit and detents, I realized as we were working thru the positions, I couldn't push my control lever to way right, thru any noticable detent click or feel. As Kubmech said, in order to bypass the regen circuit, you simply have to hold far right. Well, in many hours of loader work using the feature, I guess I just slammed it over and never really noticed the slight detent. At any rate, the lever was frozen out and he made me exert waaay more force than should be necessary to break it thru.

So, after a few tense moments and some strategically placed lube, the valve and lever are working fine and the angle cylinders are doing their job properly. Thankfully, no need to push lever up to angle right, etc. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Proof is in the pic pudding, here's full extension left...

And full right! BTW, the left side angle cylinder hose went to the remaining upper work port on the control valve and the right side to the remaining lower port.

Thanks all for the help, now on to that lower lift cylinder mount.

Interesting. According to my reference material, the B2009 is for the LA302 loader. However my material is over 3 years old and makes no reference to the FL1 variant of the LA352.
