re: browsers back

Which browser and version are you using? Also, please link to a page that is causing the problem.

Site Navigation Problem

Is anyone experiencing problems while navigating through TBN?
For the past three, days I have had problems navigating back. Going forward works just fine but going back will sometimes take three to five clicks.
TBN is the only site where this problem occurs.
Moderators, any ideas?

re: browsers back

This page has the problem. IE9.

My "back" history shows a link to d1.openx.org.

yup! jut started for me  and also I see on the top and bottom of each page I view the words ( The webpage cannot be found ) in blue but yet on the page viewing it,

Same here. If "web page cannot be found" appears, the BACK button does not work. If the ads appear, the BACK button works

Re "back";
Happened often enough that I came to this page to see if I was only one.
Now glad to see it is not my system.
If it helps, when this occurs I can use 'recent pages button' (top left corner of screen) to go back to former pages, but it is a PIA to do so.

I am shure that the Google adds has something to do with this as whenever the mouse back won't work I get -

'The webpage cannot be found' message.'

Still not able to go back reliably, two quick clicks work, but sometimes takes me back too far. IOW one click does nothing, two quick clicks takes me back but might go back 3 or more pages...
At the bottom of this forum/thread there is the "can't be found" message.
Is there no resolution yet? Driving me nuts..:confused2:

For info- IE8 Vista and happens nowhere but here....

No problems using Firefox 3.6.3.

Hi Everybody,

We have tracked this down to an affiliate javascript that was conflicting with some of the other javascripts running on our site.

In order to correct this problem, please clear your temporary internet files (tools -> clear recent history in Firefox or tools -> internet options -> delete browsing history in Internet Explorer) and then log back into TBN. This should delete any files that are conflicting since we have removed the code from our site.

That should fix it...

Seems to be working good now. Thanks!

I'm on a completely different computer than my main laptop and still having the -can't go back- problem?
Is there no solution for this?

Running windows 7 here and having the same issue. Only on this site. IE 8 here.

Have you tried what Muhammad suggested on these computers?

Yes...and it works for awhile then comes back. It happens nowhere but here and I visit a lot of forums....
What really gets me is it happens on a netbook I'm temporarily using while my main laptop is out of service.
Could it somehow be tied to my account? Just seems really odd it is happening on two computers that have nothing to do with each other...the only two things in common are my username/account and this site...
I have a third computer...a desktop that I'd don't think has ever been here as I very rarely use it...maybe I'll fire it up and see what happens with it...

To add to the oddness, I've never had this problem on the 5 computers I use. Firefox is the browser on all of them, running either OSX,Win7 or XP.
