Back drum help!

I used sandpaper to sand in inner ledge also wirework led it to nothing. I talk to the auto parts Ford does not tell you what size they have either 9 or 10" it's been 3 years since I changed the shoes so I don't know the size! I thought the bigger for a 4x4 but no ..

If you mean they offer two different drum diameter sizes, I doubt you could attach the larger shoes to a truck equipped with smaller ones. I don't see how the attachment points would match up.

You've addressed the drum ledge issue so either you have them assembled wrong or they are the wrong shoes.

Can you take a picture of one side and post it. Maybe we will see a mistake that you are missing??

One last point. You can take your Vehicle Identification Number to your local dealer and the parts guy can tell you what rear brakes your truck has.

Your adjuster on the bottom needs to be turned 90 degrees and moved to the other part of the brake shoe.

Yep. Adjuster goes on the vertical framework of the shoe, turn the slots 1/4 turn, not down on the ends of the surface where the pad is attached. This will allow the bottom ends of your shoes to go closer together.

Once you get that done, extend the adjuster as far as you can and still get the drum on. This minimizes the painful "notch at a time" adjustment thru the little slot.

I looked at the pic and it looks like the E brake lever is engaged (see pic). I know you said you cut the cable but the lever that spreads the shoes looks to be frozen in the engaged position.
As others mentioned, check the adjuster position.
Also, your rear springs are shot. They are arching the wrong direction. May even have a busted leaf in the middle.
