Tim,
Nice looking truck. The grill is nice as are the wheels. You did great. Enjoy the ride. Like to hear how the gas mileage is on it once you drive it some.

Here's some somewhat better pictures since some guy's wanted to see it. It's like 10 degrees outside, appears that the camera isn't too thrilled about it.

I am not blowing smoke up your rear to be nice but that has to be the best looking GM truck I have seen in 15 years. Just enough chrome....

Thanks guys for the compliments...Honestly, I thought I'd get take some abuse for it being blingy and not looking like a "hairy man" truck.

You guys are all cool, even those that I argue with:drink:

Trucks don't have to have plastic grilles, vinyl seats and minimum creature comforts to be good, hard working, real trucks. Heck I say you might as well work in style if you can. I don't personally like owning leather seats or my last truck probably would have been a Denali, I think they are sweet trucks. No shame at all in having a great looking, comfortable truck.

I dislike leather seats. They're too cold at first and I find myself worrying about them too much. Our tahoe leather seats are heated, but not for the first 2 minutes.
Other than that, they're better than cloth. :D
My GMC cloth seats are really warm & cozy.

Well..This doesn't say much yet about the mileage...But took it to work..70 miles round trip, once. A couple of local runs (one to Jerry's Curb Service:D) and I used 10 gallons of gas. Filled it up tonight. Had 12 miles on it when I picked it up. Has 180 on it now. So that equates to around 17 in my simple head...What the last GMC did. Might actually be slightly better because that doesn't count the 1/4 mile shot I put on it and the other blast I did on the test drive.

Builder..I don't like leather either...But it's in there.

Thanks for the opinions Chris.

Forget your current calcualtions. Go break it in and get a few thousand on it before you take anything to heart.

If it does at least as good as the last 3 GM pickups I'll be happy...They all averaged around 17MPG highway and farm country driving.

I've been setting back the last few days watching this post . Congratulations . With my business I buy a new truck every 2 to 3 years and rotate my old one to delivery. I am driving a 2008 Silverado LTZ , black ext. , lt. gray int. , the oval running boards like yours , etc. Everytime I trade I look at all the brands , I like the GM's so much I won't try anything else . I am not knocking any other brand , GM's just do a good job for me . This spring I'll be buying another GM . About GM's bankruptcy , I'm not condoning it , but are the one's boycotting them not going to borrow any money from the banks that did the same thing ? Enjoy the good looking truck !

I have owned both cloth and leather and will not buy anything new again that is not leather. If the right thing came around that was cloth it would not be a deal breaker but it would be a tough choice. Leather and kids just work so much better.
