I never had an issue with the 5.3 either...It made most of its power at the higher RPMS..So it did fine, just had to wind it up like weed-wacker sometimes.

I think the reason a lot of peole have issues with some of the newer engines is because they are used to the old 350, 351, and 360's that had low end grunt but not as much top end where engines today don't have the same low end but have loads of top end power. Not sure if that made sense.

Beautiful truck, especially against the snowy background.

Seriously, that's an awesome looking ride! I don't recall the years (or decades) that GM pickups looked like the frame rails were hanging down under the trucks, but your new design truck doesn't have that.

Thanks guys for the compliments...Honestly, I thought I'd get take some abuse for it being blingy and not looking like a "hairy man" truck.

You guys are all cool, even those that I argue with:drink:

:drink: Ya got it... I knew a few people with all black vehicles when I was younger (and they didn't work for the FBI or CIA...) and I kinda went the opposite way, tend to favor silver with a more moderate interior color.

I will say that I have had 2 cars in a row where I had to take black or wait months on another color, but it grated me for the entire time I owned them.. Apparently I'm in the minority though, since savvy people did market research and found black to be one of the most popular colors. Maybe it is a reflex that stems from the old Henry Ford days ???

I'm heading to Texas to pick up a 2008 F250 supercab with the powerstroke engine. About $6k cheaper than in the midwest and it has not spent the last 2 years on salted roads... What more can I say ?

There you go...6k and no salt..Doesn't get any better than that....

Black is going to be a pain to keep clean. Have 1000 feet of gravel to drive on to get to my house.

Hey while we're all braging about Ford sub-15 sec modified diesel trucks, GM stealing money from poor old blind ladies living on cat food, etc...check out this video for your entertainment. This is the sickest display of diesel RWHP I've ever seen  :
