Backhoe Backhoe for BX2200? Is there?

Thanks for website info. Looks like sooner or later there will be a BH that will be made just for the BX2200. I am still dreaming and planning. Not in any hurry to get a BH, but still just want to see if anybody had a set up. tnks

My point was to make it clear that it was a 3-point mount BH with a stabilizer kit because the question was asked about a subframe mounted BH. The is another company that does make subframe mounted BH for many different small tractors. The company is called Kwik-Way. Kwik-Way ,they don't show one for a BX on the web site but they do make a loader and and BH for it. You have to call them for liturature.

The Landpride backhoe is interesting. One concern I have is that, if you go to their website and look at the specs for the unit (BH1560), the overall width is 5' 8" with the stabilizers folded up for transport. That's a lot wider than the tractor. Still, it looks like a quality unit.

They also list a "future" frame kit for the JD 4100, but now that the 4100 has been discontinued, I wonder about that. Maybe one for the 2210 or 4010/4015?

They are very slow to update the website. I have called them to get printed liturature on the BX stuff. If I remember correctly the loader goes for like $2,700.00 and the BH is like $5,800.00

Would it be cheaper to trade in the unit and by a BX22, it uses the same MMM as the BX2200?

Yes it would be and I think they still have the great financing deal still on for new models.

just got literature from K-W Manufacturing in Sioux Falls, SD that shows that they make a backhoe for the 2200. It is purposeful built and uses a sub-frame assembly. Doesn't look too bad.

The prices quoted by them are $4850 plus a mounting kit for $569. The buckets range from 239 to 299.

I'm going to take this brochure to my dealer and see what he thinks about the equipment.

The only bad thing about the Kwik-Way BH is that it is not a quick attach/dettach subframe system. To have the BH on you must remove the 3-point arms and MMM. So switching between the BH and mowing or using the 3-point would take I'd say about an hour or so.

This is true. The 3-pt on the BX-2200 was not designed to be removed "easily" like it is on the BX-22. Requires tools and elbow grease on the 2200!

I guess I would consider the extra time as a bonus....get to spend more time in/on/around my machine!

By the way, Kwik-Way has been around a long time and the equipment they make is very well made. If you do get it you will not be disappointed with it's craftsmanship.

That would be true, but judging from the parts diagram for that portion of the BX...it's not a fun job to remove and re-install the 3-pt on the 2200. Someone in another thread speculated about adapting the BX-22 3-pt mounting hardware, but it was still unclear if that is "easy" or "hard"...there are some differences in the machines.
