Backhoe & MMM compatibility issue (2X20)?

OK I just made a simple little comment and look what happened......

I had no idea there was so much interest. Sorry, working too much all weekend, didn't see the questions.
Attached a quick picture of a section of the underframe.
I don't know if this answers the question. I certainly have to take my mower deck off to put the BH on, but just the deck.

I figured there would be interest! Thanks for pics. Question? I see the notches in the frame/bracket, But I'm not sure I see the additional steel.

I have always understood that the back hoe was built to mount on any tractor with a three point hitch. My 2720 was bought based on what I saw on the JD site as far as the ease of switching from one tool to another. If I remember correctly, the demo did not say anything about removing any parts from the tractor, and claimed you can pretty much do it all from the seat with the only exception of getting off to connect the hydraulic hoses. Am I also wrong on this?? My dealer knew I planned to get the back hoe and never mentioned any of this to me!! I have the independent lift with the diverter valve, and he sold me the power beyond kit for the back hoe application. I really hope I wasn't mislead

All I know (as I have confirmed this thru dealer) is that, if you have your MMM on and unhook and then drive off of it....you are not ready to mount BH. After driving off MMM you have to crawl under tractor and remove several bolts to remove the MMM bracket/frame. Once the BH is on, MMM is not going on until you remove it and then replace your MMMs bracket/frame

My dealer did not make me aware of this either, however I am not certain he knew. Once I got suspicious (I was not yet certain) and brought to his attention, he said he'd look into it and get back to me....he confirmed my fears. He was very pleasant about my no longer wanting MMM to purchase X500. He still gave me a deal on X500.

Do you already have the MMM? Would you consider a garden tractor as a dedicated mower? Here's a thought.....when you are using the BH on the 2720, having a mower with a trailer behind it to collect the BH excavated material is very efficient. If the excavated material is to be used again as backfill, move trailer into place and dump....much cleaner. If the material it is to be relocated with the loader then this is a step you skip.....instead drive the mower and dump the cart to materials staging area and come back for more. There's a bright side to everything
