Backhoe question

   / Backhoe question #21
If I had one on the lot I'd snap a picture and show you. But I don't. I have zero 4530 on the lot and zero backhoes on the lot to fit a 4530 at the moment.

I'd call your dealer and tell him the situation and he ought to be fixing you up properly. Someone dropped the ball, either the kit was wrong or incomplete, or it was not installed correctly. We install over 100 backhoes a year and never do you need to remove the sub frame to reinstall the three-point. That would be a really, really bad system.

Captain Jack,
Your subframe kit should have came with some extensions for both stabilizer bars. Mine are about 4-5 inches long and let the stabilizer bars clear the subframe. I'll try to get a photo posted soon.

I have a Bradco 511, which is same as your, but just a little bigger. I'll look in my 511/509 parts manual for the extension numbers.

I'd scan the parts break down and illustration , but my scanner is hooked up to my PC and the PC is on the fritz. The sway extension link is Bradco/Mahindra part # 103213. The hex capscrew (bolt) is #1142. The lock nut is # 1936. Quantity 2 each. This infor is from the sub frame mounting kit #102590 instructions manual #76259
Hope this helps.

bindian,

Thanks for the picture. I've looked and don't have anything that looks like that. I have a parts manual # 75522, an operators manual # 75521, and an installation dvd which I watched and the narrator said the same thing you guys have been telling me, but it never shows what I need to know. Even if I had those parts in the photos you sent, I still would not know where to bolt them to.

I'm gonna call the dealer Monday and see what he can tell me.

Thanks for the help.

Cap'n Jack,
I will try to remember to take the 3PH arms out of the wheelbarrow (where I store them) and lay it out with the stabilizer and get photos to give you a better idea how it goes together.

My 509 does not need the lift arms or sway chains removed to install. I loosen the sway chains until the arms almost touch and use a tarp strap to tie them together.
Arms at about half up will clear the hoses as I back into the backhoe.
I have to watch the lift position when the 3PT is powered back up after disconnecting the BH so not to raise them into the hoses or BH frame.
Install toplink, tighten sway chains and back to work
