Baked Apples?

Depending on what I'm cooking, sometimes I prefer a thicker heavier CI pan...

Personally, I don't have a problem with them.

I agree that weight is not that much of a factor when it comes to cooking quality (other than the cooking surface) with cast iron. Where weight is important is in handling the cookwear. Often the wife can not handle heavy cookwear and as I get older I want to keep cooking with my cast iron as long as possible. All is good when cooking with any cast iron vs new fangled non stick surfaces..

Computer died, recovering pictures from old hard drive... Will post when I get them up.

I'll dig some up this weekend.

I got the 14" DO from a friend; it needed help. It spent time in both Lye bath and electrolytic bath...
