Band Saw blade guides?

That green plastic stuff I mentioned that is easy to machine, low coeffient of friction, and doesn't like heat is UHMW. I don't know if the heat from the band would affect it, but other than that, it is cheap to try. Hollar if you can't find a piece local, and need one shipped up. I still like 3RRL's suggestion of aluminum bronze.

Wear Plate
Note that super hard aluminum bronze is used widely for wear plates and guides. I use them in plastic injection tooling for slideways and gibs. Do a search on the material.
