Congrats Mark,

You have too have taken an important step towards seeking help, identifying the type of situation that puts you at risk for 'bad' behavior. :D

Not sure about the popcorn smell though.

It sounds though like your being an awfully bad influence on your friend.

Poor guy is at his lowest moment and you give him a catalog, with free shipping no doubt. Sucker doesn't stand a chance. :confused2:

Remember, we're trying to 'help' people with their HFGB problem, not encourage them. :D:D:laughing::laughing::laughing:

That's weird, I'm starting to feel some kind of strange "itch" coming over me! :)

Everybody is doing it.
Just once won't hurt.
Haven't you always wondered what it would be like?

nice anvil. And yes insurance is legalized robbery. I had a babysitter come to my house one day when our regular sitter was away and an oak tree dropped a massive limb on her car. $3500. I called my insurance, adjuster came out. no crap; he said has anyone told you that you needed to trim that tree? I said no. He said don't worry then your not liable. I was furious. I said I have paid premiums for 15 years and no claims and you're not going to pay for this girls car? He said her insurance will probably get it. I asked and if they don't, don't worry you're not liable. He said they can sue you and we might have to pay. This was a good friend of mine's daughter.

Well, let's see 1950T,

I can do some pretty heavy duty outfitting of my "bare bones" metal shop OR I can buy 1 of your sleek, and 'purty' lookin' anvils.... decisions, decisions?!. :confused2:

Wait, NOW I remember. I saw that anvil on page 89 of the HF catalog!!! :D

Nice anvil 1950T, now go MAKE something with it.

Does it shine at night without any light? :D I'd swear I saw them using something similar to that in Lord of the Rings when they were putting Narsil back together again for Aragorn.

All kidding aside, I bet she gives off a wondrous ring when you're using her.

it does have a nice ring. regarding the HF anvils. a few years ago HF had some decent cast tool steel russian anvils. they were great for the price. ive got one in the shop. steer clear from any anvil that is cast iron. wrought iron with a welded steel table is fine but not cast steel.

I bought one 110lb HF cast steel anvil. It works great. All as fine till I lost it in the weeds and the bushhog found it....poor bushhog.

Anvil has a mild, easily fixed dent in the horn. I was going to grind the horn some anyway.

ive never used an anvil out of the box that i liked the horn shape/finish on. 7in hilti anglegrinder 80g flapdisc and a water hose take care of that tho.

Mark,

If I may ask, how do you lose a 110 pound anvil??????? ;)

Glad you found it. Though I might have chosen a slightly lesser violent means of doing so. :D
