Ever seen bermuda grass grow? Actually the farmer next door found it>....not me...He was a little close to my shop building with his mower. Needed a new blade on his 14 foot cutter after that, because it broke it in half and made a nice hole in the top of the deck.

Now, let me think... :confused::confused::confused:

Where might the poor guy go to get his mower mended????? :D

Where you on the hook, Mark, for your neighbor's error?

I guess you 'could' loan the guy a welder, if he doesn't have one.

Actually, I think that is your "Early Warning Perimeter Alarm" at work. :D

Hate to know what one of those blades cost.

Like most of what's in a grocery store, many HF tools are "perishable".

Has anyone experienced the 'perishable' aspect of the HFGB lately?

What purchase went bust?

On the flip side, there has been several times lately I could've used some 3/4" drive sized sockets. I know several people have said they've bought some and had good 'luck' with them. What brand where they, again?

Generally any wrench or hand tool with pittsburg on it is fine. I have a few of their c clamps and vise/lock pliers, and they do range in quality, but they have gotten a lot better. Last ones I got were fine for the purposes I was purchasing them for.

Thanks Mark for the name.

Do they come in combo sets of Metric and ASE or just one or the other?

I'd go directly to the store, since the catalogs, online store, and actual stores don't always line up on selection or price. Go to the store armed with the lowest catalog price you can find, or a 20% coupon. They will meet the price if its the same item.

But yes they appear to have a combination set: http://www.harborfreight.com/hand-tools/wrenches/22-piece-metric-sae-combination-

You might find it in the "highly polished" set too. They are better quality.

For 3/4 drive:http://www.harborfreight.com/hand-t...-quarter-inch-heavy-duty-socket-set-5494.html

Since this thread runs the gambit, I'm going to ask this question here.

I have someone that is selling me a 4 yard, rear load dumpster for $50. I haven't actually seen it, but he says that it is solid, but a tad rusty. I don't really care about the paint at the moment.

What I'm wanting to know is if the floor isn't the greatest. What thickness and type of metal should I use to bring it back up to snuff. It might get used for a roofing project or two(weight of shingles), so it needs to be more towards the stouter side.

Thanks all. Any other bracing or support ideas are most welcomed too.

I'd say 11 or 12 gauge would be enough. Dumpsters aren't that thick.
