Heitjer - Awesome!! Congratulations!!

I found a 60x50x16 that was just built next to an almost complete custom home - called the custom home builder - he finally called me back last night to give me the number for the barn erector company - same company that did their concrete - gonna call him today. I'm looking at a 60x40 on Sunday - the guy said the crew was from San Marcos - he highly recommends them... wish your crew would hurry up so we can find out if they are as good as we hope.

Light rain in the forecast for Tuesday - otherwise we've had incredible weather!!

It feels like we're grinding to a halt.

Heitjer, It's been a couple weeks. I was just wondering if there is anything new in your neck of the woods? We are getting closer to a final decision on ours. I hope to start my Thread in the next day or two... Hope everything is going well! Let us know!

Still waiting for the City permits, everything is framed up and ready to receive lining and rebar. We have not started with the rebar in case it rains.

Has someone seen my contractor....?

I definitively can not recommend my contractor! I have changed to someone else and hope I can progress now a tad faster. I am just glad that the recent heavy rain did not make any wash outs on the forms and trenches.

Current status, same as for the last two weeks:

"Ready to pour concrete!"

New contractor is currently pursuing permits and I hope I pour this week.

That price is insane. Nobody can justify those fees. You guys are being bilked out of your money. There is no way in **** I'd ever do that...I'd move elsewhere before I paid somebody 22k to review freaking plans for a 9k driveway.

PROGRESS....


We poured concrete on Wednesday! 5 trucks with each 10 yrds at $670 per truck.

While I was waiting for the progress on the barn I started fencing. Here are some pictures.

I meant to ask - you said they brought in 10 loads of 80/20 - how much elevation did that give you?

I had a sloping ground - it basically gave me 12 inch in the front and 18 inch in the back.

You can see the height - especially on the right edge of the form.
