I went to TSC yesterday to get some lime for my food plots. I got half pelletized and half powdered lime and mixed them, worked rather well. I bought 6 bags of barn lime, 2 of the 6 bags was POWDERED lime of the Waukesha brand like they have on their website. The other 4 were a different product called Barn Grip in a paper bag with red lettering. It was less powdery, with the grain size of salt rather than powdered sugar like the Waukesha brand. There was absolutely no content information on the bag. My question is what is this barn slip? Is it all Calcium carbonate like the barn lime just less finely ground? Or is it sand mixed with powdered lime? Anyone?
