Barn Security

Good afternoon, I' looking to beef up the security of my barn and am interested in seeing what others have done. My barn is a block barn with 2 single doors and one double door. Currently they each are secured with your standard padlock hasp latches. This will only keep honest people out and our house was recently burglarized so now I'm beefing up security all over the property. Yes, I am installing cameras at each "building" but if no one happens to be home home then cameras are reactive to a quick smash and grab, so I'm also very interested in PREVENTATIVE measures. Let me know what has worked well for you.

Make sure your cameras will point at a place where they will catch license plate numbers. The cops cant do much with a picture of a person. If there just walking in and walking out with what they can carry thats another story but how much can you really carry thats worth jail time?

Cops here post pictures of criminals on FB and get a lot identified.

License plate numbers could get the cops to there front door in minutes. Mabe before your stuff is all gone even.

Ring I believe is the name of device that's become popular around here. Has capability of contacting you via smart phone when activity is detected. You can see your property, who's there and speak through hidden speaker. There were cases last Christmas where homeowners told porch pirates "put the package down or I'll call the cops". Property owners in Texas might even tell the thief to drop that box you #*!%@* or I'll fill your *** with buckshot.
