Newbie here. Is there anyway to bypass the battery temp sensor on a Ford 555C backhoe? The new alternator will not charge the battery and I was told it needed the sensor which is missing. I would like to bypass it to make sure the alternator is actually still good at least temporarily. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Buy a 200 ohm resistor and install in the place of the sensor.

Do I just wire it in in the battery box where the sensor goes?

I could not find a 200 ohm resistor but I did have a 150 so I put it on and it works; but it痴 charging the battery at 13.75 amps. do you think this will damage the battery?

Do yu have a 50 ohm you can put in series with the 150 (or two 100 ohm resistors in series)?
