I haven't used it in that manner. I was trying to see how much I needed to get the snow thrower down from the clouds.

I would not use it in that manner. The further the leverage point from the axle pivot you get, the less added weight is needed to counterbalance implement. I have seen some YouTube 2 wheel tractor videos with long extensions built onto opposite ends from implement to accept weights, but they only had like 20 lbs on it due to effective leverage. You could fab some thing like that up. Also, if you need the implements closer to the ground, shorter tires may be best solution.

Congratulations! Ive owned an 853 for 2 years now. You'll love it. Very handy and very durable.

I needed to add some weight to my machine as well. I just made a bracket and welded a threaded pipe on it then used a pipe cap with a bar welded on it to hold the weights on. Cost next to nothing and works pretty good for a quick adjustable system (you will find you want to weight each attachment slightly differently to get the right balance)
That's nice. Ive been thinking about doing something similar on my 853. It seems like it would help with the stump grinder attachment that I have(very heavy).

Thanks - really helps me get the right balance for the different implements and makes them much easier to use or transport.
