Some good tips. I don't agree with his recommendation to lease, however. It is a convenience, but it won't save you money if you keep cars like I do, for 10 years.

Leases are a lousy deal if you drive many miles-the mileage charge at the end of the lease will be far more expensive than the mileage depreciation on a car you own. And if you do the smart thing and keep a car for a long time you'll be way ahead of the game. Repairs are far cheaper than car payments. And having a new car doesn't guarantee you won't have repairs--they may be covered by warranty but the car will be in the shop where you can't use it.

I bought a 2012 Chevy with 7000 miles this summer was a rental glad it done would rather go to Dentist than go thru the process of buying Car.

Leasing allows a person to drive a late model car without having a lot of money tied up in it. If a person doesn't mind car payments forever, then turning over one lease car after another means always driving a newer car.
I've never leased, but I think that is the attraction.
