I think it all depends on what folks mainly use their tractor for will determine their "best" modification. For me it was rear remotes and better lighting up on the ROPS.

2 of the most useful mods for me (cab tractor) are a lever at the rear to operate the 3 point and a second lever at the rear to operate a remote so I can extend and retract the Hydraulic top link. Makes hook up to 3 point attachments much easier and faster

How did you do that?

Best mod: Adding hydraulic angle to my landscape rake. Now I don't have to jump in and out of the cab everytime I change directions or angle.

4 shorts, looks like some quality work you turn out there in your shop.

My mods are not as extensive as i lack a good farm shop. But the quick draw bar is handy, as are the greasable MMM dolly and storage wheels. One handy mod that cost very little was two 2"X 6" on the BH out rigger shoes. I used carrage bolts to mount them to the shoes, with wing nuts for quick removal, then on the portion of the 2X6 that contacts the earth, I picked up some gator skins (truck retreads) along the interstate, sawsall to fit the pad. Now i can drop the out riggers on pavement or concrete without damaging the walks.

two lights on the top of my rops and filled tires have given me a sense of security for sure.

Not a modification but a quick way of pinning up the mower deck for using the three point with a box blade. Anyone who has used the factory holes for pinning the deck knows what a pain it is.....this works in seconds.
Check out the ratchet strap from the loader brackets to the deck, one on each side and no more climbing under and hoping things line up. Straps are available in orange at Home Depot etc, I used some old ones that had road rash to see if it worked....works perfect.

Is that what that was...now I know.

Guess I had mistaken it for a tree and fence killer and put it out in the barn with the rest of my JUNK. Some day (like the day after I take out a car window as I've done twice in my life) I'll make a rubber one that doesn't kill trees and tear up fences, or maybe one like they put on Dixie Choppers that can be moved up and down, but amazingly it doesn't shoot rocks out as badly as my old Craftsman (Window Killer) did.

Would be cool to see in this thread ideas for such designs.
