Congrats! It's a great setup, I get a lot of usage with mine. When you pick it up have them show you how to remove it and how it interacts w the 3pt hitch. It can be tough the first few times depending on how much paint is in the pin holes on the subframe and bh, but does loosen. You'll love the thumb as well!

Edit: you may also want a dolly, it makes removal and attaching a LOT easier. Here is the build thread for mine http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-owning-operating/236155-bh65-backhoe-dolly-build.html

Update:

BH65 backhoe all inclusive and BH1976 mechanical (manual) thumb installed plus SUDT fluid and filters thrown in for me to perform fluid change: $7600 for the total package.

I'll take that as a sign that they really really like me...

Deal done...

So counting the original price offer of $7300 you got a mechanical thumb, SUDT fluid and filters for $300 more. I guess they do like you.
Congrats.

I to believe they want your business and treated you fair enough for them to make a profit to stay in business and show their appreciation for your business. It doesn't insult to talk with your dealer and ask for some perks as long as one isn't being foolish and insulting.

Totally agree. Throughout my life I have bought numerous brand new cars, trucks and Harleys and always negotiate price and/or service incentives. I do my research and what I ask for is within the realm of doable. But, I do take a man for his word and when they say they discounted the price and can't do much more I shake their hand and say "OK, order it"; I just believe in a spirited negotiation!!

I had a b2620 with the backhoe, while it was a nice implement, I wished I would of bought a used regular size backhoe, then sold it after I accomplished what I needed to do. I know many members will say they couldn't do without their small backhoe attachment. But for just my use, a larger backhoe would of been better. While it doesn't take too long to take off and reinstall the backhoe on the b2620, you do have to store it someplace when it is off. My wife retired and she was going to help with the mowing, so the b was going to be a mower also, so the hoe had to be off during the summer. Finally sold the b2620 with backhoe and bought a smaller bx2670 to mow with. The bx mows alot better than the b2620.

Not trying to talk you out of the hoe, but just giving another voice in the subject.

Good luck on your purchase, wish I would of had a little larger size bucket than the 12" also.

I've bought many BXs, Bs and now a couple of Ls. Had two BX25s over time and slipped a B2620 with BH in between the two BX25s. Each of them did the job I expected out of them in regard to the back hoe performance. The BX is a sub compact tractor and thus performs like a sub compact tractor. The B series are labeled compact tractors and thus perform as great compact tractors. The Ls are tractors and are in a different class than the BX and Bs. Not better but bigger. I've been up and down the size spectrum of Kubotas and each performed well for their class with some having a quirk or two thus moving them on down the line to used buyers. My circumstances have also changed with my age over the past 13 years of Kubota buying. I've added, decreased and added more property and my desires of what I want to do to/with my property has changed over the years. I even ventured into the Skid Steer venue last year leaving the tractors behind, quickly returned to Kubota tractors after loosing a large sum of money on that experiment. Skid Steers are not bad, just not tractors and not the best tool for me.
Had a man do some concrete work for me and after seeing my BX25 he went and bought a well used B21 from Barlows. He returned a couple years later to do some more concrete work for me and brought his B21. I had the B2620 FEL BH at the time and his B21 moved rocks that my B2620 wouldn't move. Different machines with near same HP and similar size but built for different work and much different prices and weight.
I have not been disappointed in the performance of the BX25s or the B2620 BHs but I didn't buy them expecting them to be more than they were built to be. The B2620 sure out dug the BX25s and sure a big L would out dig the B2620 but what do you really need and how much do you want to spend? For tractor buyers there is a couple of key words I've learned over the years/different machines WEIGHT MATTERS and better usually COSTS MORE at initial outlay but not necessarily over the long run.:cool2:

628...

All comments welcome and thanks for your point of view!!! I've operated Cat 988/980 loaders, Cat 235 excavators and CAT, JD & Ford FEL's/backhoes so I am not new to machinery. This hoe will meet all my needs for my property and family and if anything bigger is needed I have friends with the big boys...

My 36x48 with 16' walls shop is being build in a couple months and my Harley will have one area and my B2620 and implements will have another!!! I will do as others have and build a BH dolly for easy movement around the shop...

Thanks for your inputs!!

One thing to be aware of is the bh is super heavy (shipping weight is listed at 1400 lbs - though who knows if that is accurate). Take it for a gentle spin to get used to its effects on a hill. I find mine raises the center of gravity quite a bit and side slopes that are fine without it are terrifying with it. It's awesome ballast though for loader work. Also word to the wise - use the pins when driving anywhere with it. Nothing like having a branch hit a lever and the darn thing is extending or swinging etc... Not that it ever happened to me :)

BH70 should be around 600 lbs if I remember right. Subframe might add a couple hundred. Bucket about 60-100 depending on size.
