I've bought many BXs, Bs and now a couple of Ls. Had two BX25s over time and slipped a
B2620 with BH in between the two BX25s. Each of them did the job I expected out of them in regard to the back hoe performance. The BX is a sub compact tractor and thus performs like a sub compact tractor. The B series are labeled compact tractors and thus perform as great compact tractors. The Ls are tractors and are in a different class than the BX and Bs. Not better but bigger. I've been up and down the size spectrum of Kubotas and each performed well for their class with some having a quirk or two thus moving them on down the line to used buyers. My circumstances have also changed with my age over the past 13 years of Kubota buying. I've added, decreased and added more property and my desires of what I want to do to/with my property has changed over the years. I even ventured into the Skid Steer venue last year leaving the tractors behind, quickly returned to Kubota tractors after loosing a large sum of money on that experiment. Skid Steers are not bad, just not tractors and not the best tool for me.
Had a man do some concrete work for me and after seeing my
BX25 he went and bought a well used
B21 from Barlows. He returned a couple years later to do some more concrete work for me and brought his
B21. I had the
B2620 FEL BH at the time and his
B21 moved rocks that my
B2620 wouldn't move. Different machines with near same HP and similar size but built for different work and much different prices and weight.
I have not been disappointed in the performance of the BX25s or the
B2620 BHs but I didn't buy them expecting them to be more than they were built to be. The
B2620 sure out dug the BX25s and sure a big L would out dig the
B2620 but what do you really need and how much do you want to spend? For tractor buyers there is a couple of key words I've learned over the years/different machines WEIGHT MATTERS and better usually COSTS MORE at initial outlay but not necessarily over the long run.:cool2:
