BigBarn - You have some great ideas for stuff like this! I appreciate seeing them. Keep them coming! I wish I was innovative enough to contribute too, but nothing obvious yet. :)

Thanks, Rob. I usually get inspirational input from others. Hope I can help also!

Great, inexpensive and so simple it escaped the rest of us

That's a very handy idea. I'd like some quicker way to set angles for miter cuts. I've got railing work coming up quick and they are going to require odd angles. The vise does pivot, but isn't the easiest thing to work with... Got any other good ideas?:anyone::drink:

Sure. Ideally a miter head bandsaw would be the best but.....Make one of these for the angle(s) you need.

I can’t remember what I was trying to make a while back, but I was left with a 4” wide strip of 16 gauge stainless steel that I screwed up the bends on.

Today it occurred to me to add a few bends to make a holder for my iPad mini tablet.

I added a couple of pieces of self adhesive foam strips and it works quite well.

You should post that picture in the rounded off drain plug thread. All posts will help get to the winner winner chicken dinner prize.

I never thought a picture of an easy-out extractor would make me laugh.

My favorite “tool guy vendor” is also retired but unlike myself, he frequents garage sales and also has the inside scoop on estate sales through his lawyer contacts. Besides being a good friend and possessing a WEALTH of tool info he saves me any cool home made wooden parts boxes when he comes across them.

They work extremely well for storage and organization of heavy parts such as pipe fittings as opposed to the plastic bins which would end up with bulging sides.

I love having the eclectic mix, quality and history of these simple boxes.

These bins will be filled soon with my stuff but I will leave the previous owner’s labelling on these bins just for the cool factor.
