An interesting factoid.

The manufacturer of my powerhammer, A. B. Jardine Company of Hespeler Ontario , in the early 1900’s made pipe wrenches under license from Ridgid Tools.....in anticipation of rounded drain plugs perhaps. :)

Don稚 forget good health is important if you want to be around to enjoy your retirement shop and life in general.

Try to eat healthy.

Good point. It was 5 years ago at the age of 63 that I realized death was coming fast for me if I did not change my Way Of Eating. Now 5 years later my health and mobility is better than 30 years ago and most of my body pain is gone so low that I do not think about it. Watching friends dropping like files inside a DDT producing plant and the kids only being 16 was my wake up moment. Thanks for this reminder.

Thank you for taking the time for the comment, Gale. Looks like we are on the same page (and AGE)!

I’m not looking to necessarily live a LONG life.....the old “quality not quantity” comes to mind.

Stay healthy and happy everyone. Any and all little steps help!

Hammer Time

I decided to shorten and reinforce a heavy CHEP system pallet to secure my power hammer to.

Here is the modified pallet weighing in at 92 pounds.

Four 7/8” bolts through the base with backing plates on the underside of the pallet secure the hammer.

The hammer can now be safely moved around with the forklift or pallet jack while I clean and assess the amount of refurbishing necessary. It seems to be stable enough when operated and with a little luck I may be able to use it as a portable unit until I find a final resting spot for it. If not, I guess I’ll have a heavy duty pallet for something....

I contend, for some reason unknown to me, there is no dirt in B.C. I'm unsure how a farming operation can function without dirt. But I'm sure it doesn't exist there.

My proof of this theory is the pics Terry posts. Has anyone saw a small particle of dirt or shop trash on the floors? Only answer is that it doesn't exist there..... ;)

LOL. We have lots of dirt.

Truth be told the doorway got a quick BJ. ( NOT the good kind :) )
