Derek, I rarely use the cruise control, but it is about the easiest one to use made. It could actually be a hand control for HST for someone who cannot use their feet. The reverse ability is out and as Daryl mentions for pretty obvious reasons. You will find if you should get a Kubota HST that those bumps and things become something that your foot will actually sense out as you go. That is to say, while going forward (or reverse) you sense the bump and your foot will instantly react slowing the tractor down to smooth it out. It will be second nature. To draw an analogy, it's much like the learned response you develop while driving a Bobcat skid steer. If you have never driven one, your first 5 minutes on one is a memorable experience. Hope you get it all straightened out. I would think that that T-8 powered landscape rake with a HST would be a combination you will not be able to match with any other design.
