Before Clinton's Assault Weapon Ban, nobody paid much attention to 'Assault Weapons'. Didn't care. Weren't interested.
'Assualt Weapon' sales sky-rocketed. I mean, off the charts. Gun shows everywhere. NORINCO selling cheap guns like crazy until they were kinda, sorta banned.
Then you have people better suited to running a College Newspaper in places of political influence telling Americans they were going to be forbidden to buy something our Founding Fathers INSISTED on us having the right buy. The Faculty Lounge moved to DC.
The 2nd Amendment addresses one thing and ONE THING ONLY. All the other Amendments address multiple concerns about government over-reach (which is entirely what the BoR is about).
So everybody had to have one. Everybody wanted a Rambo Gun. Everybody wanted to have an AR in the closet. Even though they had no business having one.
But they wanted one because, they might soon be unavailable.
Every time one of those idiots talks about banning AR's or whatever, they sell a 100,000 of them.
If politicians of a certain persuasion could just learn to SHUT UP, people might forget about using them as toys, a hobby, something cool to own, something all their buddies have so they have to have one, too.
They are not toys, they are killing machines. That's all they're good for.
We have the right to own one. Or two. Or three or four or five. I absolutely believe in that right.
But I don't believe people should just run out and get one because its cool. But, AFAIC, they have the ABSOLUTE RIGHT to do so if they please.
