Nice! You making me cab envy but on my neck of the woods, it would be a convertible in no time. :D

You can definitely go bigger on the mower. I use a 4 ft on my 35 hp tractor and it will barely feel it back there and we use chains instead of blades which requires more HP.

On the adjustable depth stop, I don't think Branson offers those on any of their models, either cab or ROPS. Maybe on the 7845 since it's electronics.

I've thought about making a nice one on the milling machine. Wouldn't be too hard to do.

An adjustable stop to put into the slot for the 3 point lift control arm sounds like a good idea and should be fairly easy to fabricate. My old TO35 Ferguson came with one as standard back in the '50's. It has one for both raising and lowering. It is nothing more than two small pieces of metal clamped together by a bolt and wing nut that can be adjusted to limit the movement of the control arm.

I have noticed a need for one recently too. If I have my post hole auger on and lift it all the way with my rear window open, the auger frame hits the window. I very nearly broke my window:eek:

One of the things I did on my tractor was fabricate an extension for the 3 point lift control lever. It made fine adjustment of the three point height easier to accomplish (especially useful when grading and attaching implements). It is about 6 inches longer and doesn't seem to get in my way, and does make raising or lowering the 3 point a fraction of an inch easier to do.

I agree a 6 ft mower is the right size for your tractor.

My tractor is an HST, and I frequently accidentally knock the range control into neutral when getting in and out of the tractor. I habitually set the parking brake when getting out now because of that.

Cabs are indeed nice to have.

Ptsg, if you decide to fabricate a stop, let us know how it works and post pictures. Mainly because I enjoy seeing your art work!

Cougsfan, I agree the stop is simple to fabricate. Although it will not look as nice as what Ptsg can create.

I might try something like a expandable plug for the slot so I can remove it when needed.

The only time I can think of where I need the lever to lower all the way down is when I hookup to the finish mower. With the quick hitch and the low hitch points on the mower, it just clears when lowered all the way. Being able to remove the stop easily for those times would be a nice feature.

Thanks Asteral, how would it work with the cab I wonder?

This is what I came up with but it is a little small. Need to get a more accurate measurement and order a bigger one. This one is 7/8". These are Shaw Expandable Plugs. I think if I get the right size, it will work pretty good. :confused3:

sorry for the brief response yesterday, to install the Hydraulic stop lever you have to lift up the cab inner fender cover to install it, just a couple of bolts and it easily installed

So I guess anytime you need to adjust it, you have to pull back the fender cover? I am going to get a bigger plug and try it out.

I really am loving this tractor! It is a real pleasure to operate and I feel so blessed owning such a fine machine.

The bad thing is my little Kioti is feeling left out! I did service it up for the year but I will have to find some chores to keep it happy. Been such a good little dude.

With the Branson, I kinda hate it when the work is done!

Here is the Kioti doing a little field cultivating.

Nice.

I know what you mean. It is nice to be able to do all your own tasks on your own time. I was able to regrade my own driveway yesterday (finally), and it was nice to be able to get it done in a few hours, done the way I wanted, and not have to hire (and wait) for someone to show up and hope they did a good job.
