Bio diesel

After much thinking and discussion with the manager at my dealership(Shaws Ridge) I came to the conclusion that I would run Bio in my new 790. My dealership checked with Deere and found out that they would warranty the motor if the fuel met an acceptable approved standard and only be a B5 blend which I am buying at a local gas station chain. I get a reciept anytime I purchase fuel for my records. I ran it all last winter without and issues. My next step will be to put B20 in my home heating oil tank.

MADREFEREE. I don't know if you know this or not but Cranmore Mountain runs B20 in all their snowgrooming equipment with no problem

My Mahindra dealer checked with Mahindra USA, and was told "use of bio-diesel would void my engine warranty if damage was proved to be caused by it. I can wait to try it. It isn't worth the risk; which I believe is low.

Why don't you fuel your tractor and heat your house from this tank??

That may be what happens when the warranty on my Deere runs out. My only other hurdle to overcome is that there is only one oil dealer in my corner of the state selling B20 and his pricing is about twenty cents a gallon more for B20 than regular#2 oil. Once we get a little more competition and his pricing comes down I will
