Block heater location question

I bought a block heater for my Kubota L2550DT and the instructions say to put it in the screw in freeze plug hole on the right front side of the engine, I don't see any such plug! none anywhere on the engine! now, I could be missing something, have been known to do it before, so, where do I put the block heater on this thing? it also says on the instructions that I need to use a 1"x3/4" adaptor, for the L series tractor. I seem to use the tractor most on the coldest days, -30 degrees below zero or colder, getting rid of snow, pulling a neighbors 2wd out of a snowbank, or pulling my pickup out! which is why I want the block heater. So, anybody know where it goes? thanks a bunch, Chris

What kit did you buy? Was it from Kubota or where?

It was from my local H.E. Everson, it says on the package it will fit a Kubota L series tractor, maby it means only the newer ones.

Is there a part number on it?

I think it is C LRI843 it also has the number 16902 on it, and GY it is made by Philips & Temro industries Inc.

The part number should be 70000-92500. You have to remove a soft plug close to the center of the engine, with a plastic mallet you drive in the bushing that is supplied, and install the heater. Be sure it is going in straight and don't allow it to bottom out. They do work fine when installed right.

Chris I think you just answered your problem, auto parts don't always work. There is two numbers in the Kubota book but we only stock the one that I gave to you for pricing reasons. The unit is a screw in after you set a bushing into the block.

Art, don't forget to mention, when removing the freeze plug if drilling, don't let the drill bit go too deep. Have seen a case where someone drilled straight into the cylinder. OUCH!!!
