The only thing I can suggest is to extend your hydraulic rams as far as they'll go and then check the level of your transmission oil and make sure it is full so you're not cavitating the pump inadvertently when the rams are taking their maximum amount of oil. This also minimizes the open air space the discharge oil goes into and minimizes mixing of the air. I'd also make sure the reservoir can vent properly just as an added safeguard. I just now got a hydraulic plow installed and will be watching for this. It isn't ideal to share the transmission oil with the hydraulics but it also shouldn't cause this sort of problem either. You shouldn't be leaking air into the system on the hydraulic implement side since those are almost always under positive pressure in operation.

I have now found that the oil is foaming just running engine without
using any of the hydraulics ( front blade or 3 point hitch ).
It seems to be worse as it gets colder outside. Everything worked
fine after I reassembled the tractor and filled the transmission
with the oil that is in the transmission now but it was much
warmer outside then. Now that its in the 20's and 30's the
same oil is foaming. I think the pump is sucking air now
that the oil is much thicker as the temps have gone way
down. I replaced all of the O-rings when I assembled all
the hydraulic lines and I also replaced the hydraulic screen
as well. I guess it time to remove pump and check the
seals in it.

I removed the high pressure line from the spool valves and I
held it in the transmission oil fill thats under the seat.
I started the engine and the oil was flowing through the
oil line and I sprayed it into the filler hole and I could
hear the air coming out along with the oil. It was
spitting out the end not a smooth even flow.
The pump is sucking in air from somewhere. I removed
the hydraulic pump and disassembled it and found
the o-rings inside are hard as rocks. The shaft seal
on the pump drive shaft is also hard and it fits
loosely on the drive shaft, I believe this seal is
more the culprit for the air leak. I have found that my
tractor is similar to a White field boss 16 and it looks
like the o-rings and the seal is available on the AGCO
parts website. There is a tractor dealer in New Jersey
that deals with AGCO parts. Here are a few pictures of
the hydraulic lines I removed.

I got the new seal and o-rings for the hydraulic pump last week.
I cleaned all of the pump parts and blew out all of the
oil passage ways. I pressed in the new seal and re-staked
the pump body around the outer diameter of the seal.
I put a very thin bead of yama bond on the O. D.
of seal just because. It was very cold when I rebuilt
the pump and I was anxious to try it out so I did not
repaint pump for now. I'll get over it. anyway I primed the
pump and also filled the hi pressure line with hydraulic oil
and bolted both hydraulic tubes to the pump. I was ready
to start the tractor and see what happens. I was very
happy, The pump worked great and with no air in oil.
No more foaming. Saturday I put well over two hours on the
tractor doing some grading and leveling out on the back
of the property and no foaming. I am very happy!
here are a few pictures.

As usual, more impressive work. Good job.

Good find. The pump was certainly not the first thing that came to mind. I'll add it to my list though - thanks for the info

I finally picked up some tire chains for the winter.
I found a pair on Craigs list back before Christmas
and made arrangements to buy them. But with
the holidays the seller quit responding to my
e-mails to set up a time to pick up the chains .
About a week ago out of the blue the seller
e-mails me saying she was sorry about not getting
back to me for so long and if I wanted the chains
I could have them for free. I picked them up this morning
and it turns out there are two complete sets of
single wheel chains and one complete set for dual wheels.
These chains were used on a semi truck years ago
and have been laying in an old shed. I put them in the back
of my mini van and I'll tell you they are heavy. They
actually lowered the back of the van from their weight.
The chains are to long as they are so I had to shorten
a pair and now have them installed. I don't know what
I'm going to do with the dual wheel chains. Even though
she said I could have them for free after I saw them
I did give her $20. She was asking $50 in the ad.
I'll post a few pictures some day this week.
I also have a small coolant leak from the water pump.
The inexpensive head gasket I though was a good
deal is also weeping a little oil on the exhaust side
of the head and a little coolant on the injector side of the head.
Two repairs for spring when its a little warmer outside.

I noticed mine doing this as of late - since I installed the turbo. I'm guessing it is the original gasket. I picked up another gasket to have ready but don't have any immediate plans to replace it. I'll just keep an eye on the fluid levels and the rate of leakage, hopefully no coolant will end up in the oil in the meantime.

Hi Bolens G154/Iseki tx 1300f..

I have a Bolens G174 with a brand new Snowblower, a New set of AG Tires" dimples still on both front and rear tires" and a Back Blade. I would like to trade "Buy " a good condition snowplow for this tractor. Would you be interested? I will deliver and p/u at no charge. I have complete pic's just send me a e-mail at richard.scheer2@comcast.net

That goes for any one else who is on this site. I will also pay a good finders fee if you help me locate a good plow... Help
