I received a few things in the mail today.
The weeping head gasket has been bugging me
and the water pump is leaking and the shaft
in the water pump is getting very loose and
with my luck just waiting to fly into the hard to find
radiator. So I bought a new head gasket along
with a new water pump. The head gasket I
bought last year was not much of a deal after all.
I though I was doing good getting the first head gasket
for $59 but it started to weep coolant after a few
months. I believe the water pump is the original one
so it has paid its dues. I bought a new Mitsubishi
factory head gasket for $140 ( ouch! ) I hope to
do the head gasket and the water pump in the
next few weeks. Oh the factory head gasket
I just got is far better quality than the first one I installed.

here are a few more pictures of the hitch. I picked up
an 1 1/4" receiver tube that I will weld inside of the
upper and lower plates.

I bought a dirt scoop on Saturday and it was poring rain as
we loaded it into my mini van. We loaded it with a fork truck.
I was able to drag it onto the bumper and back my tractor
up to it and with a little grunting and groaning I was able
to get it hooked to 3 point and then out and down to the
floor of my garage. It needs sanded and some paint but
other wise its in good shape. My first 3 point implement.
Bolseki got soaked during the unloading process.
Here are a few pictures.

Thats great, and you should find that is one of the most useful implements that you will have. I am able to do so much with mine, and in place of a loader bucket, it works great. I was very surprised at how much I can move with my dirt scoop.

Well it rained all day so I worked on the scoop in the garage
and here are a few pictures. I took it apart to scrape off
some of the rust and fix the latch and some loose bolts.

Great to see you recovering an old piece of machinery. Does the Bolens lift the scoop okay?

Yes it does lift it and with me standing in it. I weigh around 180 lbs.

Cool, you should be able to move some dirt with it.
