that ospho is good stuff.
On this rusty 711 loader I have used OSPHO only and the TSC 65-99 Ford blue 8-2968 on a few parts, others OSPHO, Rust-Oleum Implement Gray Prime and the 8-2968 TCS blue as well as no OSPHO but with the mentioned primer and top coat. The belly strap was not sanded but hand wire brushed only. The rest for the most part has been gone over with 4.5" flexible sanding heads. On my 110th birthday I will update how this paint job held up if I can remember what I used where.
The heavier the solid rust the better OSPHO seems to had value as a primer is my take today but I think it is great on new metal to etch it to hold paint better.
