Box Blade options for the 110 tlb

Eric
In the first video (or the one feeding the fire at night) there is a backup camera feeding a monitor on the right.. can you tell us about that setup?
tks.

Pretty basic set up. A $30ish 7" display from Amazon and a $15.00 backup camera. The display can take 2 inputs switching from A to B. I use a RAM mount to hold it on the door handle's round stock. The $50 dollar camera thread in the custom forum covers it.

Eric I agree, after watching your video EA does make a nice grapple (with Super Heavy Duty Hydraulic Hoses!!!!)

With this little modification, I hope that my quick attach can never get popped open by accident again.

Eric, I actually did read your odyssey thread. If the 4284 can hold up to your uses, I'm quite sure it'll be find for my own.

So far the Frontier has survived two days of use.

So I'm getting close pulling the trigger on a box blade. I've got pricing on a new frontier 4278 of $3500 shipped to me from a southern dealer.
My local dealer is pricing me a Gannon 80HB as well but he still has a frontier 4172 that was a demo. I could get that one for about $2400.
I've got some work for the blade so waiting for a cl score is likely not an option. These blades just don't seem to be too common used in my area. My main concern with the Gannon is Imatch compatibility. I believe I read a thread here of a member with a Gannon 4x4 that wasn't quick hitch friendly.

I have had to hook up my bb1284 quite a bit lately and it isn't too bad with telescopic links. You might consider adding them to your 110 as that might increase your choices enough to find a deal. When I ordered my 4520 I added two sets of telescopic links and put one set on the 110, cost about $340 per set as I recall.

I really like the Imatch over the adjustable links, and I doubt the Gannon is going to be a better deal than the Frontier so if the cost is the same the Frontier wins since I know it's Imatch compatible. I'm really wondering if I should just go with the demo 4172 and save myself the grand. The 4172 is about 850lbs if memory serves the 4278 is 1160 and the Gannon 1170. Is the extra weight and width worth $1000?

I will compare them this evening and post back.

My bb1284 is 1260 lbs iirc. I looked at the video Eric posted and all I can say is after 10 years my rippers are all straight. One shank broke into soon after purchasing it and was replaced. No problems since then and I have pulled up roots 4 to 5 inches in diameter with mine. Are the shanks the same? I don't know.

I am not sure which new model is similar to the bb1284 with Imatch added but that is what I would recommend. If you are using this to make a living and using it often get the better tool it only hurts once.
