Having the function issues that you are having could be explained by improper installation of the BH hydraulics. That's why I asked who did the installation. Remember not all dealers are the same. Maybe try disconnecting BH hoses and configure as FEL/3pt only. See if the loader works better. If the stabilizers still drift the problem is in the BH. How many hoses for the BH? 2 or 3? :confused3:

Was the BH factory installed or dealer installed?:confused3: Make sure your dealer gets the factory DSM involved.

When I ordered it they said it would be factory installed but the service guy told me that they installed it at the dealer.

I know how I would feel - were I in your position. I don't have sufficient Valium to keep me out of grey bar city. By the way - DSM= district service manager.

At this point - I would definitely ring in the whole troupe - including their three ring circus. There is NO excuse for this to happen.

Try to keep your cool - - going nuclear probably will not help.

You have some very good points and I appreciate that. It is very hard to keep my cool when I think about the cost of a new tractor and the fact that is broken before they even delivered it to me really hits a nerve but I'm trying to stay cool about it as long as they are trying to work it out.

I actually took the backhoe off the tractor the 2nd day I had it and didn't put it back on until they showed up to work on it yet the loader still drifted off during that time if my memory serves me correctly. I will take it back off and give it a try just to double check everything. The backhoe only has 2 hoses.

Well I just got off the phone with the dealer. They are going to pick it up Monday morning and take it in to the shop and run some test. I have been very polite about all this and told him that I have my first payment due next week and that I’m not making the payment until I either have this tractor back and in proper working order or a new one delivered that is working properly. He said he totally understands and is doing all he can to help us get this fixed or worked out and that he will continue fighting for us to get this made right. At this point I can’t expect any more from him as I do feel like he is working hard to make things as right as possible. He said he would do his best to either have it fixed or a new one delivers back to me by the end of next week if corporate will let him.

On my 2555 the lever that controls hydraulic flow to the backhoe ports can make everything work screwy if it is in F or R flow instead of neutral when backhoe is not hooked up. for example it will make the loader work weak and actually in reverse operation

I wouldn’t think that should happen. But my question is does the same thing happen when you have your backhoe hooked up and using it? Does your loader drift off or the backhoe drift off? I have never experienced a new tractor that had hydraulic problems that caused the FEL to drift off but I have experienced this on older used tractors that had week check valves, week pumps ect from years of use and that’s just not something I would expect to have to deal with on a brand new tractor and hoe.

Withholding your payment is a poor decision. That only hurts you and your credit.
Also they are not just going to give you a different tractor. It simply does not work like that.
The dealer would have to buy back your tractor, pay off the loan, then sell you another tractor with a new loan. All at a huge loss to the dealer. He may recoup some from the manufacturer but that will take a while.

Anyway, best you can hope for is a quick resolution to your issue.

Improper installation will only cause performance issues. Loader drift is caused by leak of trapped oil either through one of the lift cylinders or through the valve. The dropping of boom when commanding lift is a load check valve stuck open or not seated.
