wagne223 - - I must make comment on your post # 19.
Yes - withholding payment will only hurt the OP and his credit rating
Farmer about 30 miles south of me - brand new JD 6000 series. Bought brand new just about this time of year - two years ago. Something dreadfully wrong with the on-board electronics and - apparently - several of the operating software programs. JD dealership loaned him exact duplicate while they brought his in for repair. Eventually they told him to come in - complete new paperwork and the loaner was now his. I never heard what was wrong with the first tractor and I don't think Nelson(farmer) did either.
It probably doesn't happen often - I read of a couple here on TBN - but it is an option that some dealers have taken. I mean - - what in the world are they going to do if they can't fix it within a reasonable period of time.
Granted a 6000 series JD - this time of year is just being "waxed up" and made ready for about three months of 20 hour days - harvesting wheat, tilling and replanting. Pretty easy for a big time operation to suddenly go from green to red or blue or some other color. Priorities my man - priorities.......
Its called bustin' your A S S to satisfy your customers
