Branson 2400H fuel shutoff solenoid troubles

I tested the wire per your instructions. It has power.

Ok. Now we need to check the ground side. So switch key to start and back to on use your test light clamped on a ground then touch pin light to the green smaller wire on the right relay. When you do listen for the relay to click.

I tested the yellow with green stripe. I heard and felt the relay click when the key was turned on. I turned it to start for a couple of seconds, then back to the on position. Both relays acted the same. Both clicked with the key on, and then both clicked again after a few seconds. The yellow wire with green had a very faint light come on with the tester.

Ok so when this happened did the solenoid plunger stay in?

The faint light is not a problem as we we’re just using it as a jumper to ground.

I was looking on the service manual and looks like there may be another relay to test. Can you confirm you see the blue relays below the ones we Have been testing?

If you can confirm the two blue relays try swapping those as a quick test to see if the solenoid plunger stays in when you cycle the switch. I believe the one we were testing was the pull and not the hold relay based off your description of the last test.

Our focus needs to shift to the blue relay labeled Engine stop in the screenshot I posted.

Yes the 2 blue relays are below the pull relays. I'll test that this morning. I did remove one then the other and it didn't affect power to the solenoid. I didn't swap them though.

Ok now I a good idea what you are dealing with. When you are checking power to the solenoid what color is the wire that has power?
