Thanks fo the info. Do you have any trouble pulling baler and wagon up hills?
No. You can really tell that it is there (especially going downhill with a full wagon), but it doesn't have any trouble pulling it around the field.

That gives me a little more confidence in my choice of a 5045E.

This is just a conversation , and conversations are supposed to have different opinions. If your done with the conversation just don't make a comment. It's simple.

This was his thread to begin with. If you want to be a devils advocate, who enjoys throwing logs onto the fire just for laughs why don't you go start your own thread about how poorly the Kioti is engineered and see how many of the good owners here join you.

Now for everyone else I apologize as I am only a bronze member at this point but this thread has been crapped on big time. This was a great story of Kioti owners coming together now it is just a big friggin joke. KK sorry your thread was hijacked, I am still happy for your new tractor and hope to see more pics in the future.

And times 4. Great Kioti story that goes from hearbreak and dispair to jubilation and the re-birth of the original dream, aided and abetted by a great dealer. Faith restored.

And times 5. Great Kioti story that goes from hearbreak and dispair to jubilation and the re-birth of the original dream, aided and abetted by a great dealer ... and including a sub-plot diversion story about a guy living on an extremely remote island 1 mile from civilization :)

Ironhog,

I would agree with you EXCEPT, would you really use a 40HP CUT to do bailing, disking, etc.? I don't know if many people would or do those kind of tasks with CUTs in general- but from what I've seen; and taking to local farmers it seems not too likely. I mention this NOT because Kioti is right in equipping their tractors with the first pair of rear remotes with detents and the second pair without, but because most Kiotis I've known use the 1st rear remote for hoes and such, and when removed its easy to install a short loop.
Should Kioti note the proper way to operate the rear detented remote in their owner's manual and service manuals, ABSOLUTELY! But then they wouldn't make as much off us dumb 'amerikans' as they can by not mentioning it anywhere EXCEPT to exclude any warranty coverage from misuse, YEAH!:confused2::mad:
Now there is a classic "Catch 22"

I wouldn't expect a CUT to be a primary baler tractor, but I can think of all sorts of things where those rear remotes would be handy or necessary. A 40 HP kioti would make a fine rake tractor on almost any hay/cattle farm.

If the detents are needed for a rear BH I understand....... but how many tractors have a BH vs. running a top link or small piston on something like a rake?

I grew up on tractors so I knew what was going on..... many CUT owners would have burned the pump up over the course of the afternoon.

I'd say that a good rule of thumb is that the OP "owns" a thread for about four or five pages of comments max and less if he diverts from his original question/point himself. If the rest of us didn't jump in and bring up tangential points, these threads would be boring and the community would not develop. Don't be too sensitive about crashing someone's thread, if enough people join is just makes for better parties!:thumbsup::laughing:

Wow I didn't know just cause you start a conversation no one else has the right to bring up other things, sound kind a picky to me .reminds me why I don't go to church. Didn't know you own a thread.and ken congrats on your new tractor , hope you have good luck. And dingo I never once said kioti is bad engineered just because I find fault in 1 area does not mean I'm not happy with my machine life is never perfect but to strive for perfection is how quality becomes quality and I don't feel the need to start another thread nor will I to speak an opinion and if you call a opinion throwing (logs on a fire) so be it.and goodbye.
